The Village Manager role is well suited to candidates that have village management experience or those that are seeking a change in career direction and lifestyle. To excel in this role, applicants will need to have the highest level of management and interpersonal skills, be energetic, bright and outgoing, with a caring and thoughtful manner and demonstrated skills in problem solving. As our residents are mature people over the age of 60, you should enjoy interacting with people in this age group and understand what is important to them. Experience in managing a residential, community and/or hotel management is highly desirable.
As a Village Manager, you will be responsible for the efficient, effective and professional delivery of services to the residents and the operation of the village.
What You Need:
- Prior management experience
- Strong focus on results and customer satisfaction
- Ability to obtain or demonstrated knowledge of the Retirement Villages Act and understanding of the needs of older people
- Experience in working with complex stakeholder environments
- High level of written and verbal communication and negotiation skills
- Experience in preparing and managing budgets
- Prior experience in the management of WH&S systems
